Australia’s barefoot rock sensation Kitto performs her own “Classic Rock” version of Paula Koivuniemi’s ‘Aikuinen Nainen’ featured in her upcoming ‘Acoustic Caravan’ Tour Finland for 2017.
Why Aikuinen Nainen? This is a song which is very popular and connects Kitto to her larger Finnish audience as a gateway for her own music therefore she took up the offer for the language challenge. "People were curious as to how it would sound for me to sing a song in Finnish. It is also a dedication to the public to take a classic Karaoke tune which means something to the people and to give it another voice”. So when Kitto and her manager decided to record ‘Aikuinen Nainen’ it was to draw the line closer to the Finnish audiences in introducing her own brand of original indie rock (which hosts some 270 songs) penned on the road. Her sound is like a female Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam meets Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin. Her songs are conscious with lyrical observations. She strums a beaten up red acoustic guitar and her androgynous voice scales from a low deep entranced tone to a high falsetto, similar to that of Ronnie James Dio with all shades of rock in between. Kitto is wild and uncompromised and extremely feminine! Some may think otherwise but ‘Aikuinen Nainen’ is just one chocolate in a box; something for the loyal followers who come out to listen to her whenever she tours in Finland. ‘Aikuinen Nainen’ features her producer / guitarist Pna Andersson from both the Swedish rising Metal act Netherbird & Psychedelic Rock Perfect Blue Sky. Drums are performed by Sweden’s own hard rock ‘Mustache’ man Robban Bäck.

It’s a one chance deal so put out there, your favourite flowers, and best stage clothes, anything that reflects who you are. Kitto’s live solo album ‘Acoustic Caravan’ was recorded between August 2016 until March 2017 after requests for a live CD so she began to collect several recording sessions from various countries of her live shows. The tracks were recorded live between Darwin in the Northern Territory, Australia by co- viola & muso buddy Lewis Parsons and also on the west coast of Sweden at the island of Hönö by her sound engineer and good friend Jake Sandberg, Whilst on one of her live solo trails in Finland, Kitto decided with her management to make a cover version of Paula Koivuniemi’s ‘Aikuinen Nainen’ The official video was filmed at Pub Grönan Finland by Jassi Takanen from Zephyr Studios in October 2016. youtu.be/X_iju9qid24 ‘Aikuinen Nainen’ features performances by Swedish hard rock band Mustache’s drummer Robban Bäck and husband/ producer Pna Andersson from Netherbird/Perfect Blue Sky on guitar.
